Late Shri R. C. Patel, the founder of Patel Brass Works (PBW) was one of the first entrepreneurs to establish industrial facilities at Rajkot, Gujarat.

1948 started with a small casting foundry for brass components.

1958 moved PBW facility to India’s first small scale industrial estate which was established in 1955.

1965 started manufacturing bimetallic bearings with significant expertise in production of non-ferrous components for serving local requirements of slow speed diesel engines.

1973 gained OEMs approval locally with process controls and consistent quality supplies.

1980 set up centrifugal casting technology to produce precision plain shaft bearings for high-speed engines, compressors, and earthmovers.

1990 we were first to indigenize bearings of Railroad segment for the country.

1990-2000 started supplying thin wall bearings manufactured using sintering, cladding & continues casting methodology. Certified by ISO accreditation and gained “Fair Business Practices” award.

2001-2010 gained OEMs approval globally for various applications including large bore engines. To ensure establishment of environment management system and achieve better standards of health and safety of our human capital, we are accredited with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Also certified by AAR and awarded “Most Responsive Supplier” from a major OEM based in the United States.

2011-2020 moved to larger premises covering total area of 22,247 Sq. Metres having all the operations under one roof. Added lead-free lining and lead free overlay plating materials. Enhanced in-house alloy powder making capacity.

Our product portfolio includes Bimetal/Trimetal Bearings, Bushings, Thrust Washers, Thrust & Tilting Pads, and Journal Bearings used around the world in Light and Heavy Engines, Locomotives, Pumps, Compressors, Earthmovers, Turbochargers, and a range of other Reciprocating/Rotating machinery.

Social Initiatives

We place a high value on maintaining our environment, health, and safety because it is crucial for our employees. Our accreditation with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 serves as proof of this.

We founded a charitable trust in 1999 to give the poor access to critical medical care. With the assistance of nearby blood banks, the trust successfully organizes medical and blood donation camps on a regular basis, raising public awareness and motivating people to donate blood. In addition to its existing initiatives, the charity has a mission to guarantee “Every Child in School.”

We think that every kid has the fundamental right to an education and that no child should be denied this right just because they lack access to it or the means to pursue their aspirations. Thus, trust raises awareness and makes it easier to educate children.

In order to contribute to a greener and healthier environment, we ourselves grow trees and help others to do the same.
